Waring MX1200XTX vs. Vitamix 7500

I owned a Vitamix 7500 for six months until the motor burn out blending peanut butter, oatmeal, a few frozen fruits and two scoops of protein powder for one of my daily shakes. I was very disappointed after paying $560 for that blender. To their credit Vitamix handled the warranty claim very quickly and had my blender fixed and sent back to me with a new motor in one week.

Plastic-free, stainless steel (sort of) alternative to VitaMix

I really wanted a high-speed blender but did NOT want the plastic blender jar that comes with the majority of them. (Food heats up in a high speed blender and it’s never a goood idea to heat food in plastic. Also, I’ve seen how the plastic jars get very scratched and clouded over time.) So, I was thrilled to find this blender. The price is comparable or better than the VitaMix and it blends just as well — my smoothies no longer have tiny bits of kale in them and nuts turn to nut butter very quickly! So glad we got the Waring

We went back and forth for a while trying to decide between the Vitamix and the Blendtech. In the end we went with the Waring and I love it. I make two smoothies every day and this blender does a fabulous job. It’s a real workhorse. When shopping around I was most concerned with how the blender would handle frozen foods. Our smoothies use a lot of frozen ingredients. I like my smoothie to be thick like a milkshake. The Waring has no problem with blending a thick frozen smoothie. When it gets to a “Frosty” consistency I occasionally have to shake the pitcher but otherwise it handles everything we throw at it. I especially like how it handles spinach. It leaves no chunks or large pieces of spinach. The only thing it doesn’t completely pulverize are blueberry skins. Apple and nectarine skin are no problem. I don’t think you can go wrong with this blender. We even got a little crazy and made frozen margaritas at the beach this summer. The Warring handled it like a pro.

The best blender of all time

Blends anything easily and quickly, doesn’t walk off the counter or vibrate, easy simple to use and understand controls. Blends from chunky to velvety smooth. It has never stalled or jammed on anything no matter how tough or hard. A Jar stuffed with super frozen items will require some tamping to get them to feed but everything else feeds by itself. Super durable, we have been using it daily for over a year and it looks like new still. I estimate the life to be 5-20 years of daily use, AND ITS MADE IN THE USA! Its not even expensive. Its the Cheapest blender of its class (Vitamix et al) and works lots better than all of them. The only drawback for some people is the weight, It does weigh a ton so for some people lugging it from a cabinet to the countertop may be a chore but once it is there you totally forget that because of how well it works! One other thing to note is that the blender itself is not loud at all the chopping of food at high speed is super loud. That why juice bars have this cases over their blenders to quiet them down. This doesn’t have a sound dampening box so if you don’t like loud noise your going to have to keep the speed dial turned down. But then you won’t get velvety smooth food. I like the included clear plastic jar (which is super tough and easy to clean) because you can see the food inside and measure it easily but if your afraid of plastic you can get the optional all stainless jar for this blender.

Indestructible stainless container.

This thing is the bomb. Smooth velvety smoothies. A must have for vegans. I bought the stainless container version and it is …. badass. I feel like it is made for grinding rocks. Indestructible. Waring must have listened to all people complaining about black specs, because I did the clear water test several times: no black specs or any particulate if any kind. I don’t see any black sealant either. Just stainless container with a stainless blade assembly. Amazing machine.

First Class Blending

Heavy duty blender, works well. I’ve had mine over a year now and I use it a few times a week for green smoothies. I’m satisfied with it and have had no problems. I would recommend getting a recipe book for new users for blending ideas. I did purchase a second container in 48oz. It fits under the counter and is large enough for my single serving smoothies.

Best Blender You Can Buy!

WOW, Waring didn’t mess around. This blender is the top level of blenders. Where Vitamix is more of a mid range blender (Vitamix can’t even blend some ice and a whole apple. How sad.). Put some ice and a whole apple in the Waring Xtreme and you’ll have apple sauce in about 2 seconds and apple water in about 5 seconds. Sheesh!! One thing I must mention. I have 2 of these blenders (winter home and summer home). The first one is an Xtreme and the second one is an XPrep. They have the same model numbers but the Xtreme is WAY HIGHER quality. Do they still make the Xtreme?
