Seems to work well

I wanted to have a smaller container for smaller batches and so it would fit under my cabinets. I ordered this hoping it would do the trick. It’s decent but not as good quality as came with the original 64oz container. The handle is hollow with no reinforcement my 64 oz has black grip handle overlay which is missing on this one. It does work well with my base which I was pleased about and it comes with the smaller tamper as well. It seems just as durable and does come in a vitamix box so I am hoping it lasts a good long time considering how expensive it was. There are no black overlay on measuring marks.

Like it better than original size..

This is the real deal Vitamix brand only in the smaller 48 oz size. It’s somewhat shorter than the original 64 oz container so it just makes it under the kitchen cabinet If I store the lid upside down in the top and that’s a big plus for me. It’s just a better size for making juice drinks or smoothies for one or two people. Easier to handle and washes out easier than the big one. It’s pricey but same quality as original. I wish this had been the original size included for my use. It’s a bit wider around the blades at the bottom which makes it a little easier go scrap peanut butter and stuff our of there with the long spatula. I’ve heard complaints that the handle is not rubberized like the 64 oz. That’s not an issue for me.

Best Container size for household of 2

I have the vitamix 750 that comes with the 64 oz container. I LOVE the vitamix, but was having trouble making anything in small batches. Small amounts of thicker foods (like nut butters or ice creams) were difficult because they would fall below where I could reach with the tamper. Small amounts of thinner foods came out with too many air bubbles. I decided to bite the bullet, and get the smaller container. I SO GLAD I did!!! This is really a perfect machine now! I’m happy I have the 64 oz container: one day I’ll have a bigger family, and will need it. For now though, this smaller container is the way to go!

I love my Vitamix 5000 and use it often with the regular 64 oz pitcher. I have been wanting the smaller container ever since they were marketed but didn’t know if it would fit this older model. After sending a question through “Amazon Answers”, several responses assured me that the 48 oz pitcher would work fine. I love it not only because it is BPA free, but it now slides underneath my cabinet mounted. I thought the clost of $125.00 was good and with proper care will be able to use it for many years just as I have with the 64 oz container.

Great mid sized container accessory for my VitaMix…

You can not beat the quality of VitaMix or any of their accessories in my humble opinion. Was a toss-up between the BlendTech or VitaMix but then upon closer inspection the VitaMix is still eions ahead of any of their ‘competitors’. Glad I went with the VitaMix because this machine is like a rolls royce of blenders. No wonder they been producing products for 80 years. This container is just the right size for small to medium sized mixes. Not too small (like the 32oz) and not too large (like the 64oz).

Dropped my original one on the tile floor and cracked the bottom so…

I ordered this replacement. It has a protrusion on the handle side on the top that lets air get under it when you have it upside down drying after washing it out. Really helps keep the condensation out of the inside to help it dry faster.

Great product!

Love, love, love this smaller container. I have the larger container that comes with the Vitamix, but I never make anything that even comes close to filling it. This size is perfect for me. Do yourself a favor and order the Tamper Holder as well, it holds the tamper just to the side of the machine, so you have it at hand but conveniently tucked to the side of the machine.

more realistic sized container!

I love the 48 oz size container!! I wish my Vitamix had come with it standard instead of the large container! I wish the handle was rubber covered- but I really don’t notice it as I use it. I think I use less water in clean-up than with the larger container. And I can get the last bit of my smoothie out so much easier! I think the 32 oz container would have been too small, and I’m so happy I noticed Amazon carried the 48 oz size!! Another complaint about Vitamix is that it’s so big- but with the 48 oz container- it fits under my cabinets on the kitchen counter!!

Size is just right

Perfect size for most uses. The Vitamix came with a large container and it’s simply too big for most of what I use it for. I rarely get it out unless I have to blend a lot of something. This one handles all of the daily needs and yet isn’t so small that it’s worthless for most things. I use it to make smoothies for my husband and myself; blend sauce ingredients for cooking; quickly chopping veggies with just a few pulses, etc. The small one would only be good for a single smoothie and I didn’t want to spend all that money for something that wouldn’t be useful for more than one thing.

Come with Blade & Lid; Good Value

Yeah the handle isn’t as nice as the blender pitcher on the stand but that isn’t a concern for me plus I expect this will be easier to clean and not absorb any odors. This was the best price I found with the blades and lid. It shipped quickly and was packaged securely. I am new to Vitamix and bought a 7500 but wanted a small option for the wet container. I haven’t had it long enough to comment on clouding but I also read that the speed of the mixer would crack glass. I like to see what I am blending so steel wouldn’t be a choice for me even if it existed in Vitamix.
