This is the real deal Vitamix brand only in the smaller 48 oz size. It’s somewhat shorter than the original 64 oz container so it just makes it under the kitchen cabinet If I store the lid upside down in the top and that’s a big plus for me. It’s just a better size for making juice drinks or smoothies for one or two people. Easier to handle and washes out easier than the big one. It’s pricey but same quality as original. I wish this had been the original size included for my use. It’s a bit wider around the blades at the bottom which makes it a little easier go scrap peanut butter and stuff our of there with the long spatula. I’ve heard complaints that the handle is not rubberized like the 64 oz. That’s not an issue for me.

Dropped my original one on the tile floor and cracked the bottom so…

I ordered this replacement. It has a protrusion on the handle side on the top that lets air get under it when you have it upside down drying after washing it out. Really helps keep the condensation out of the inside to help it dry faster.

I love my Vitamix 5000 and use it often with the regular 64 oz pitcher. I have been wanting the smaller container ever since they were marketed but didn’t know if it would fit this older model. After sending a question through “Amazon Answers”, several responses assured me that the 48 oz pitcher would work fine. I love it not only because it is BPA free, but it now slides underneath my cabinet mounted. I thought the clost of $125.00 was good and with proper care will be able to use it for many years just as I have with the 64 oz container.

Great mid sized container accessory for my VitaMix…

You can not beat the quality of VitaMix or any of their accessories in my humble opinion. Was a toss-up between the BlendTech or VitaMix but then upon closer inspection the VitaMix is still eions ahead of any of their ‘competitors’. Glad I went with the VitaMix because this machine is like a rolls royce of blenders. No wonder they been producing products for 80 years. This container is just the right size for small to medium sized mixes. Not too small (like the 32oz) and not too large (like the 64oz).

Best Container size for household of 2

I have the vitamix 750 that comes with the 64 oz container. I LOVE the vitamix, but was having trouble making anything in small batches. Small amounts of thicker foods (like nut butters or ice creams) were difficult because they would fall below where I could reach with the tamper. Small amounts of thinner foods came out with too many air bubbles. I decided to bite the bullet, and get the smaller container. I SO GLAD I did!!! This is really a perfect machine now! I’m happy I have the 64 oz container: one day I’ll have a bigger family, and will need it. For now though, this smaller container is the way to go!

A Great Size

The huge containers which came with my VitaMix always seemed too big — too big to easily fit into the basin to wash with dishes, too big to sit in the dish drainer to dry, and a lot bigger than I really needed for anything I prepared. (Also it made the bottom really difficult to reach if I wanted to get out the last of hummus or something down around the blades.) In contrast, this 48 ounce container fits beautifully below my cabinet and is more than big enough for smoothies and other things I concoct with my VitaMix.

So tired of not being able to leave my original container ON the VitaMix On my counter due to tall height. This solves the problem perfectly AND the base is WIDER than my full-size container which makes it easier to get stuff out from around blades and clean. I love this shorty! 🙂

A much better size & shape

I love, love, love this container & lid. I had a much older model of Vita Mix plus we purchased the Total Nutrition Center. I used it occasionally but since purchasing this lower container I use it all the time. It’s easier to scrape out my healthy foods. The lid is easier to get off & on, too.

Great product!

Love, love, love this smaller container. I have the larger container that comes with the Vitamix, but I never make anything that even comes close to filling it. This size is perfect for me. Do yourself a favor and order the Tamper Holder as well, it holds the tamper just to the side of the machine, so you have it at hand but conveniently tucked to the side of the machine.
