Brought to you by the #1 Blender brand. It's one multi-talented multi-tasker. It's a blender. It's a food processor. It's impressive. Simple, one-touch controls that deliver 450 watts of power in 12 varying speeds. And with two small appliances in one, you get a powerful, space-saving solution for every day. The 6-cup, dishwasher-safe, glass blender jar has been Thermal Shock tested so you can pull it out of a steamy dishwasher and safely make a frosty cold beverage right away. The stainless steel "ice crusher" blade does just that so you get smooth frozen drinks every time. And it can handle so much more, from frozen beverages to dips, from sauces to smoothies, from soup to nuts. The BPA-free food processor accessory features a large-capacity, 3-cup bowl perfect for chopping, mixing and mincing onions, garlic, vegetables, nuts and more. This Oster blender is made in North America and backed by the superior quality of All Metal Drive. Because the two pieces that connect are metal (instead of plastic), you get a more durable and longer-lasting blender that will function flawlessly, party after party, year after year. The competition just can't compare. With a blender and food processor combined into one powerful machine, the possibilities are always endless (and delicious).

great for the price

I bought a cheap plastic blender from Wal-Mart a year ago. It started leaking after heavy use with nuts and dates, and that type of thing. I bought this one as my replacement. I love it so far. Compared to the cheapest one Wal-Mart had, this one feels rugged, when you use it. It is SOLID. It is quieter than the last one I had, and definitely more powerful. You have to keep your hands on it though, while its working. But, that’s a good thing to do with any blender. I like the fact that it has both blender and processor all in one. Saves counter space, and works great. Great for dorm, camper, small apartments, and even bigger homes. There are pricier ones out that, but I’ve never used anything higher priced than this one. I am satisfied with this one, and don’t regret the purchase. I feel like I got a good value for my money.

Perhaps the negative reviewers put too much in at once, or didn’t use enough liquid. I know when I first started using blenders, it took me a while before I knew the tips on how to get the most out of them.

The other reviews seem pretty negative, but I’ve had mine for a few weeks now and am happy. I like having the food processor, but I’ve not used that attachment a lot. The blender words well for me. I am now mainly using it to puree baby food for my daughter. I will say that I do not like it nearly as much as my old Black and Decker that broke, but for the price, I’ve been completely happy.

Good for the price

I’ve used both the blender and food processor several times since I bought this last month. So far I love it! I especially love the food processor. It’s powerful enough for what I need it to do (make smoothies, green drinks, peanut butter, hummus, etc). I realize it’s on the cheaper side and that I’ll probably have to replace it in a year or two, but it worked for my budget. I have noticed that it isn’t the best at crushing ice and some frozen fruit, notably strawberries. Usually if I add some liquid (coconut/almond milk or water) it gets better. I have yet to make a truly smooth smoothie with it, but I’m also impatient.

Typical use: 2-3 times per week

Pros: food processor works very well, blender does crush ice…eventually, I like the glass blending pitcher, everything comes apart easily for cleaning (everything is also dishwasher safe)

Oster BLSTCC-BFP 6-Cup Glass Jar 12-Speed Blender Plus 3-Cup Food Processor, Black

Cons: there’s still that burning smell after many uses (it goes away after a couple of pulses), lots of speeds that you’ll probably never use (I would have really preferred a simple 2-speed blender, but it’s hard to find a good one with an all-metal drive)

Overall, I haven’t had the negative experiences of other reviewers and would recommend this product, but I also really did my homework before purchasing this blender (there are many other reviews of this product on other sites that may give you a better picture of how you’ll like it).

What I need

I had a multi-function Brevetti, It did everything. In 15 years I only used the blender and chopper, everything else was pretty much a waste. I tried a Kenmore blender processor. It had 2 speeds and pulse, both were too fast. The processor had a chopper and a disk.

This Oster’s low speed is just slow enough for delicate work. The pulse button is only one speed.
The processor only has a chopper. It is curved in, at the bottom everything gets chopped nicely.

Good, sturdy blender

Love it, multiple uses, no problems. However, the food processor part is plastic, and I just broke one of the latches that holds the lid on and allows the processor to work. Oh, it’ll still work, but I’ll have to hold that side down. Otherwise, reasonably priced; I get one appliance for both jobs; and as I said, the blender itself is sturdy, reminiscent of the one my Mom still uses that she got when she married my dad….45 years ago. (THAT one has a few jammed buttons, but she doesn’t use it that much anymore…for what she does use it for it’s fine). That is why I chose Oster–in the hopes that they still make a product that will last. So far, so good! I’ve had it for several years.

not too bad

***DISCLAIMER!!: I did not buy this on Amazon!****
I have had this exact model for almost 4 months now, using it nearly every day and so far it’s been working great. It’s feels very solid, the smoothies turn out quite well, as long as there is enough liquid in it. I had accidentally slightly bent the blades once when I forgot about that particular rule.
The package I bought came with a plastic food processor, and to be honest, this is where I have a slight complaint. The black plastic piece that connects the processor to the machine is sealed to the processor, I can’t pry it open…
Apart from that, all the pieces can easily come apart for thorough cleaining, which is very nice.
Overall a good product.

I purchased this for my morning smoothy but find it can do much more. I use it several times a day.
