Perfect homemade baby food.

When I decided I wanted to homemake all of my baby’s organic baby food, I did A LOT of research on what blenders would be the best. I initially was going to purchase a Beaba Babycook Pro 2x. But there were a lot of bad reviews and issues with mold growth. And a Vitamix was beyond what I wanted to spend for making baby food. That’s when I found Ninja. I was a little skeptical at first because of the low price point. But I decided to give the Master Prep Professional a try. Wow, just wow.

I previously owned a Ninja Blender years ago prior to relocating twice, losing it, and ended up buying another.

After a year and a half I am upgrading my review to 5 stars.

Great for your kitchen use, although I wish the covers were easier to clean!

I got the Ninja set because I liked the multiple sizes they offer for the containers and you will only need one power pod for all the three of them. The idea that each container will have a different function seemed so perfect for me! To have three machines in one! This is definitely cheaper than getting a blender, a processor and a chopper each by it is own plus this will take less space in my kitchen cabinets.

Doesn’t Do It All, But Does What It Does Do Really Well

I’ve had this for about three months now, and I’m impressed. I’ve used this to make chimichurri, to grind whole, raw boneless chicken breasts and thighs, hummus, guacamole, iced drinks, and even to grind large amounts of peppercorns. Each time, the Ninja has performed admirably. Overall, this has been an amazing kitchen tool. Here are the pros:

Well Worth The Money For Me…

I read a ton of reviews about how this will break down, leave chunks of plastic in your food, the pitcher will crack, etc. before finally deciding to risk it and get one for my birthday last year. I had a separate blender and a food processor that were both on their way out, so I killed two birds with one stone and bought the Ninja Pro for $40, crossed my fingers, and hoped for the best.

Great food processor and blender for a great value

I do like my ninja a lot, especially since it works pretty well and is way cheaper than the competition. However, you have to be intentional about which size pitcher you use. Some things just blend better in smaller batches. And with the smallest bowl you have to make sure the lid is on correctly. At first glance it doesn’t seem like there is a right or wrong way, but there is. There are grooves on the side that have to line up perfectly with the lid or else the motor won’t start. For a while I thought my motor was bad until I watched a youtube video that explained this. It isn’t really mentioned in the instructions so keep this in mind.

Excellent blender, but will not last forever.

This is an excellent blender. I’m not going to go over all of the pros and cons feature by feature since there are already a large number of thorough reviews with the gist of which I broadly agree. I’ll add this: I use it every morning and I’ve never been able to reproduce the results it gives me with another blender. It is absolutely irreplaceable.
