I admit it … I was a sucker and bought the Magic Bullet after the kids and I watched an infomercial. The kids promised they would make smoothies, scramble eggs, etc. IF ONLY I would buy it. Well, I did buy it and we were all disappointed.

Nutri Ninja 900 Compared to Ninja Professional 1000/ PROS and CONS

I’m very happy with my new powerful Nutri Ninja 900 blender! I have owned it for about 3 months now. I needed a blender that would smoothly blend my greens. Especially since I blend on a monthly basis. I have noticed that the larger 72 oz Ninja blender 1000 with the fancy triple blade could only blend my greens into a green sludge no matter how long I blended, so I eventually returned it for this Nutri Ninja Pro 900! I usually don’t bother writing reviews, but for this blender I just had to. This blender amazingly blends smooth like butter whatever I put in it (fruits & veggies of course….lol) in as little as 5-10 seconds! The motor is powerful and the blade has an addition mini rectangular blade attached to what kind of looks like a standard blade. The blade is strong and thick. And unlike the larger 72 oz with the fancy triple blade, you don’t have to worry about slicing your fingers to shreds while cleaning the blades! When it blends the food, you can see a strong vortex action as it moves all items from the top to the bottom of the cup to be blended. The sound it emits is no louder than a regular blender. Its definitely quieter than the larger 72 oz Ninja 1000. If you follow the directions and DON’T OVER FILL the cups beyond the recommended fluid line, it will NOT spill out into the base. However, if you overfill it above the recommended fill line it will leak out when blending into the base! This is a minor issue since this is controlled by what you choose to do. There are two cups: the larger double cup easily holds two meals and the smaller cup comfortably holds one meal. So you can blend 3 meals for the day with both cups. I gave this product 4 instead of 5 stars for a few minor quirks! Here is a short list:

Bought the ninja pro for breakfast and lunch smoothies during my weight loss before my wedding. There a millions of smoothie recipes out there, but be aware that when you add some of these fruits and veggies to your diet, you might be surprised with how your digestive track respond i.e. more use of the toilet. Almost like a juice cleanse. Buy the frozen fruit in bulk at your local grocery store- it will save you money on spoiled fruit and keep the fruit flys or ants away. Just replacing meals and regular exercise, I was able to shed some poundage. Perfect for that #weddingdiet that you always see or someone voluntarily tells you mid conversation without you bringing it up (don’t be one of those people- its like those crossfit/vegan fanatics). I bought another 24 oz cup on some obscure website that is the same as what came with the ninja. Easy to use and clean. It is quite loud, but its 900 watts of fruit and ice shredding power- what else would you expect. Small and easy to store and doesn’t take up much room on the counter.

I love Ninjas!

So lucky I found a refurbished one on Amazon that is effectively NEW for a good price. I actually already have a 900 watt Ninja (that I paid a lot more for from WMart, although it did come with more stuff). I bought this one for my sister (because I house sit regularly and wanted to have one at her place!!). Yes, I am generous to a fault! Plus I hope to encourage her to try smoothies; she eats bird food for lunch and this would be way better. So, in other words, I’m already a Ninja fan. This one also seems to have some small improvements over the older model (a better blade I think, cups with the threads on the inside (since I never bother using the sippy lids), a better attachment system to the base). BUT — this one only pulses, so I took away a star for that. It will still pulverize your kale, but you have to hold it and pulse it for 30-45 seconds.

This Product is Awesome!!!

OMG, I was going to buy a NutriBullet Pro but was hesitant to pay the 150 dollars. When I arrived at Bed Bath & Beyond to purchase the NutriBullet Pro I noticed the Nutri Ninja sitting next to them for almost half the price. The 900 Watt on the box of the Nutri Ninja caught my attention. The 900 Watt Motor was the only reason I was buying the NutriBullet Pro. After putting the boxes side by side and doing a comparison of each product what I liked about the Ninja was the blade. It looked to be made from a harder steal and looked a lot sharper. It also had blades on top of the blades sticking up. I also liked the fact the Ninja was 900 Watts of horsepower. BB&B had demos setup for each product. So after talking to store employees and comparing the details of each box description I thought it was a no brainer to pay 89 dollars for the Nutri Ninja instead of the 150 for the NutriBullet.

Should have bought this one in the first place!!

I guess sometimes I am a little slow on the uptake. Initally I had bought a Nutri Bullet, but it died within 4 months. Bought a second one – it didn’t last 3 months. The third time was not a charm – it lasted 3 days. I finally got smart and bought a Nutri Ninja Pro, and I LOVE it. It was cheaper (priced at $93 to $99) and clean up is much easier – no gaskets to deal with, a wide base makes it easier to reach inside the opening and clean. So far so good with the Ninja. I won’t be going back to the Bullet, the Ninja is my new best friend for getting in my daily take of fruits and veggies.

Great

So far so good! I only had it for a week, but I love it! It does a great job in breaking down the food into a SMOOTH smoothie! I never fill it past the max line! In fact, just to be safe I keep it a little below. The main reason I bought this was for quick smoothies (so far I tried with kale, apple, banana and either water or almond milk…..I also tried with pears, kiwi, strawberries, etc.) and I am very happy with the results. It is quick and I don`t think it is unusually loud. I like the two containers it comes with. Sure it would be nice if they were bigger, but for this price it is a good enough size especially for one person. I clean it with water right after use and let it air dry. I haven`t tried the recipes in the book it comes with, but I probably will in the future. Bottom line, it is a good price product for smooth simple smoothies.

Amazeballs.

I got this to replace the Smoothie King addiction and I love it. I can make fast and inexpensive smoothies at home that have a great smooth texture (no lumps). I kind of wing it and don’t follow a recipe and it still works great. I use fresh and frozen fruit, sometimes ice (unless I am using mostly frozen fruits), soy or almond milk, vegan protein powder … peanut butter, coconut water, agave nectar, etc, etc. So many options. This thing is fast and efficient. And loud. My 3 year old plugs his ears when I turn it on. Mostly to be silly, but still. 😉

By ignorance is bliss
If Reed Richards from the Fantastic Four designed a blender, this would be it.
