Reviewed every food processor

Read the reviews, not even sure how I found this one, but it is awesome. The blender does everything and for canning season the food processor has been a workhorse. The price was great. Got a discount for taking a damaged box, but had to search the box for any damage?? So far has not ever heated up like most small appliances do.

Great processor

I really like this food processor. Of course, I came from having a blender that had a 2-cup processor attachment. I love that its a 9-cup and comes with a smaller 5-cup blender. I never blend huge amounts, but I use my food processor all the time to make things like hummus and sauces. It makes sense to have a bigger food processor. I’ve made pizza sauces, dumpling filling, and even soup. Its not the quietest in the world, but hey, I don’t expect to be quiet when I’m processing food for less than a minute.

Great Processor and Blender

Hubby put his foot down and said he wasn’t going to buy another tub of hummus from the store since mine tastes better and is more economical, but I hadn’t been able to make it since breaking our previous processor. Enter the DeLonghi food processor. I’ve only used it a couple of times so far, but it has completely done its job. It is quick and easy to assemble and most of it is dishwasher safe. My only “complaint” at the moment is that the suction cups on the base and the counter top need to be 100% clean or they won’t stick. One stray crumb and it’s game over. The blender is a nice addition. It’s a good size and has made some awesome smoothies so far.

Definitely stood the test of time

Ever since going on the Paleo diet, the food processor went from an item I used once a year to an item I used several times a day. I grind meat in this, make nut flour, grind vegetables to put in sauce or meatballs, make pesto, and slice and juilenne carrots, zuchinni, and sweet potatoes.I love the fact that it’s a blender and food processor in one. Both attachments work great. I have had this for almost a year now.

Good for smaller batches

This is smaller than I expected but good for frequent use of smaller batches. The 9-cup is in fact the capacity of BOTH the blender and the bowl, somewhat misleading. Also, Amazon has it listed as $299 retail but according to the DeLonghi website, it’s really $150.

Pretty darned good little machine.

Living in an apartment with a small kitchen, I really have to be careful what gadgets and gizmos I buy. This unit solved a lot of problems for me in that regard. By and large I like it- it switches seamlessly between the two functions and is easy to clean/store. The blender and food processor functions work great. My one gripe is that the slicing and shredding discs are too far away from the feed tube, resulting in the last quarter inch of whatever you’re slicing/grating just getting sucked on top of the blade. This eventually necessitates removal of the lid to scoop out the unsliced/grated food. I would also like a bigger feed tube. Overall, though, it’s much better than NOT having a blender or food processor, and while those two things are irritating, it’s not a deal-breaker for me. Still a handsome, functioning machine at a really great price.

2-in-1 appliance does the job.

Nice space saver. The rubber grip feet keep the appliance firmly on the counter, and the dial is much easier to use than the push buttons from the blender I was replacing. I wind up using the food processor more than the blender – used to think they were a gimmicky appliance.
