Smart Blend technology, multi-speed pulse, a 100-speed touch slider and a sleek, show-stopping design make the Designer 725 the star of any kitchen. The Blendtec Designer 725 is truly the blender with a brain. Our exclusive Smart Blend technology senses and identifies potential problems that could interfere with the perfect blend-including loading errors, overheating, or air pockets – and then tells users how to fix them. Get seamless precision speed control for 100 speeds with the slide of a finger. It even tells you which speed to use for stirring, chopping, mixing, blending, or pureeing. Use Multi-Speed Pulse for an added burst of power at any speed. Six preprogrammed custom cycles enable one-touch blending perfection: Smoothie, Salsa, Ice Cream, Whole Juice, Hot Soup and Clean. The Designer 725 even suggests additional uses for each cycle so you know how to get the most from your blender. During any blend cycle, easily add 10 seconds with a single tap to the blend cycle icon you are currently using. So you can achieve just the consistency you're looking for.

Blendtec Designer Series 725 Bundle with Wild Side and Twister Jars

 on August 9, 2016

One of the top two high-end blenders on the market, this device, through friction, can do everything from make soup to ice cream. This particular model has a display window and a touch pad with pre-sets so fuss is kept to a minimum. In most cases after loading the container in the proper order, press an icon on the touch pad and the blender does the rest.

It worked pretty well, but items didn’t circulate well in it

I originally had a Blendtec that I purchased back after they ran those ‘Will it Blend?’ viral videos, it opened my eyes to a powerful blender, so I shelled out the money for one. It worked pretty well, but items didn’t circulate well in it, and the jar itself couldn’t hold as much as standard blenders and still blend it without getting air pockets. The jar itself had the bearings go out of it, so I had to buy a new jar.

The blender with personality

I am a Blendtec fan. I have an All-In-One (also known as Total Blender) that I bought at a discount from HSN. The Designer series is a lot nicer looking, plus it comes with the Wildside and Twister jars (I had to buy these separately for my All-In-One.) This is a powerful unit and not meant to be used for more than a couple of minutes at a time. The Wildside jar for this series has a stainless steel gasket, unlike older Blendtec models which have a rubber gasket.

Great blender, but not all that superior to other choices considering the price.

This is our third “high power” blender, We have been using a Jamba blender for just over a year, which you can see here:

Great machine, rather high priced, just a few minor negatives (see complete review)

This should be read as a borderline 5-star review. The few negatives are not sufficient to significantly detract from the machine. And we have background with Blendtec as well as Vitamix over many years, from which to make a comparison and good review. Previous to receiving this blender (as an Amazon Vine reviewer) we have owned a Blendtec Total Blender model that we purchased at retail pricing – and loved it. For many years prior to that we owned a Vitamix that we also purchased ourselves, but replaced it (still working) with the Blendtec – and never looked back. So this review comes with both experience, and bias toward Blendtec because of our experience with our previous Blendtec.

Okay, this is not an inexpensive machine but it is a powerful one. Regular department store blenders don’t touch it, especially on handling ice and other items in a matter of seconds.
